Ajrakh is a hand-printed textile that is resist-dyed using natural dyes. including indigo and madder. It is made by Khatri community in Kutch, Gujarat and is distinguished by its color- Red, maroon, Blue - and its complex geometric & floral patterns. The cloth is soft against the skin and jewel-like in appearance, pleasing to touch & appealing to the eye. The ajrakh makers believe that the printed fabric has warm and cool colors which steady the body temperature… blue is cooling and red is warm. The Dupatta is Maroon in Colour and the Designs Are a Mix of White, Red and Dark Blue Colour. The Dupatta Has a Dark Blue and Maroon Border..
Care
Gentle hand wash separately in cold water with mild/liquid detergents, excess natural colours may bleed when washed for the first time. Avoid soaking for too long.
